Who we are
Investcent Investment Bank Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our onboarding processes. You can reach us at 6th Floor, The Address, Muthangari Drive Road, Westlands, Nairobi, or on info@investcent.co.
What we collect
We collect the details you give us in our forms: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, the type of investor you are, your interests and your message. When you open an account in the client portal, we also collect the identity and KYC documents the law requires, such as your ID or passport and KRA PIN.
When you use this website, we collect information about your visit through cookies, as set out below.
How we use it
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation with an adviser
- open and run your account and provide our services
- meet our know-your-customer and anti-money laundering obligations
- comply with Kenyan law and the requirements of our regulators
- send you research and news by email when you have ticked the box to receive them
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. Access is limited to authorised staff and to regulated service providers who work under confidentiality obligations, such as our fund trustee, custodian, client portal and email platform. We share data with regulators and other authorities where the law requires it.
Where a service provider holds data outside Kenya, we put safeguards in place as the Data Protection Act 2019 requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you have the right to be told how your data is used, to see the data we hold about you, to object to its use, and to have false or misleading data corrected or deleted. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.
To use any of these rights, email info@investcent.co. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
